Time to Say Goodbye......

The time had come for Lord Ganesh to leave our home. Let me give you some background...Lord Ganesh is the remover of troubles/obstacles. He is the god that is worshiped when new buildings, homes or offices are moved into. During this celebration each family is supposed to buy a statue and keep it in the home for 10 days and then take him out to sea. Well.... he has been in our home for the past 10 days and it was time for him to pack his bags and take our troubles with him. I hope he is not limited to the number of bags he can take with him. I can honestly say he was a good house guest, he didn't eat much, he was quiet and he kept to himself. The best part of him being here is that he takes away our troubles and not like usual visitors that leave them behind (Just kidding).
So off we went to send him on his merry way. We were told it would be easier for us to throw him into the river. So here he is on the ledge of the bridge contimplating on if he should jump.
Ryan was crying because he did not want to throw him. Carissa decided she would help him so she picked him up and throw him into the river and away he went troubles and all.
Our little ceremony was simple and quiet, but in India everything is done on a grand scale.
We journeyed down to the beach to see the festivities and were we amazed. I will let the pictures do the talking....

There was a parade of people/neighborhoods with their Ganesh strolling down the road they were dancing, playing music, throwing flower pedals into the crowd and it wouldn't be India if there were not fireworks involved. Even though you could not see them the noise was enough.
So there we have it....until next year when our houseguest returns for a little visit. We hope you enjoyed our little "India Experience".

P.S. The girls were so excited that I have been posting the pictures of the desgins that they want to keep making them....ENJOY!!!!!!

Hi Nice Blog . In this, the body is studied by regions rather than by organs. This is of importance to the surgeon who exposes different planes after the skin incision and who, of course, must be perfectly familiar with structures as he explores the limbs and Human anatomy cavities.
